Can my 15 month old sleep with a small pillow?
My 15 month old stayed with grandma for a week while my husband and I went to another state to look for a home to buy. When we were done, grandma let him sleep with a pillow pet. Since we have brought him home, he always balls up his comforter and sleeps on it like a pillow. Would it be safe to let him sleep with a small pillow?
My little boy started using a pillow at around 9 months. He had been very sick and I kept trying to prop up his mattress so he could be elevated but it wasn’t very effective. Finally during the day he fell asleep on my bed, on my pillow and slept for 4 hours! His nose didn’t get to clogged because he was elevated enough to sleep. That night I put a pillow in his crib. Of course I woke up every 30 minutes to check on him, I couldn’t sleep at all, but he did fine. He has had a pillow ever since. I gave my daughter one when she caught a cold for the same reason, fairly early as well. If you baby can sit themselves up I think it’s fine. It sounds like your child is fine with it.
