2008 Safest Minivan

2008 Safest Minivan

Someone have an answer for my stupid question about the safety of sleeping in the back of a van?
We want to drive the Oregon Coast and sleep in the back of our 2008 minivan – with a mattress. I don’t really have any problems, but is it safe in regards to could there be any fumes or anything like that? We have a child in there as well – don’t need advice on that part
Questions are not stupid, otherwise they would be called “Stupids”. Never put yourself down for a thirst of knowledge. Fumes from the van? If you sleep in the van with no open window and leave the engine running, fumes could seep into the van. The exhaust of a vehicle is usually geared to move away from the car as you are moving, not standing still. Engine off, you will only be confronted with whatever might be in the back of the van, dirty laundry, leftover food, socks…
Sleep safe, lock doors and keep cell phone charged and handy.
