CAR SEAT?!?! Bigger seat or booster seat?
My daughter just turned 3 and she is about 3 1/2 ft and weight is 30 pounds…she cries everytime she has to buckle up saying that the seat hurts her so… i got a bigger seat that my grandmother had and she is still complaining that it hurts her. Does anyone know the height and weight limits for booster seart or if they make then safer than just a booster seat? Any sugguestions will be great!
shes not big enough for a booster – and most certainly not mature enough for one. keep her in a 5pt harness until she meets the weight limit. my 3.5 year old is 41″ tall and 38.5lbs, and he fits just fine in his true fit car seat, as well as a graco nautilus. your daughter isnt big for her age, so theres no reason she shouldnt fit just fine in just about every convertible for forward facing car seat with a 5pt harness.
you didnt say what kind of seat you tried – but the nautilus seems to be a favorite (i love the one we borrowed!)… and its usually priced around $150, so it wont break the bank. id ask her specificaly what hurts, check the straps to make sure they arent too tight or pinching…. and when all else fails, distract her with toys or activities that are ONLY for the car (an aquadoodle mat, special baby doll, or something else she’s into).
