Should I paint my pistol?
I’m the unproud owner of a Arcus 94″ The Arcus 94 is a 9mm, all forged, single-action Browning High Power knock-off made in Bulgaria. My Problem is I live on the coast and rust is taking over my iron. This is a problem for all my guns. My pistol is the only one I care about the apperance of. I can reblue my shotguns even thought they are victims of salty air. My question is can I repaint the black or is it safe for my tool? I have tried all the tricks listed on yahoo for rust prevention. But safes with those crystals that absorb moister or under my pillow It still rusts. I would like to restore the luster of my knockoff. Really i’m tired of visiting friends claiming I don’t know how to care of my piece. here is a link of what my pistol should look like http://www.puresimplicity.net/~hemi/firearms/arcus-94.html. Thanks for input Cliffie
Look at Duracoat. You can get in in any color that suits your fancy. Much better than paint.
