I bleached my black hair 5 days ago …Can I do it again today with 40 volume bleach?
Im not going to a salon cause half the time they screw my hair up more than I do so please don’t suggest that
So basically my hair is yellow roots and medium orange with little patches of dark yellow and light brown/bronze all over
It’s not a light orange…
My hair doesn’t feel super dry but it feels bleached
My hair has been bleached before but not for about 6-8 months
I have also cut a lot off
Should I just put the bleach on and watch it ? I have a platinum toner I would love to use but I need my hair to be pale yellow first
Would it be safer to get the lightest blonde that’s not pure bleach to tone it out a bit then bleach it in a few months?
As I said I am trying to go platinum blonde
I’ve done it before but it was on non-bleached hair
This hair was bleached months ago then went black now I want to go back:p
Right firstly i bet you will get people saying go the hairdressers! But really i wouldnt bother. My friend had dyed black hair and wanted to go back blonde but 2 hairdressers wouldn’t touch it so i said i’d do it and it worked out great. I’ve also been between white blonde and dark brown multiple times myself.
I can’t believe you’ve waited 5 days! When i put my hair through this process i usually use 40 vol peroxide with powder bleach twich the first day. making sure to apply the colour to the ends first because the roots are warmer and so the chemical reaction works quicker the closer to the scalp and so you can end up with white roots and yellow hair. It depends what it looks like after being bleached twice but i’m gonna say that you might need to do it a 3rd time since your hair was already black but maybe don’t leave it on as long.
You might need to get a trim after this because the ends will no doubt not be in fantastic condition. When i went to the hairdressers with my hair at this stage just for a cut they gave me some good advice. Once your hair reaches that yellowey blonde colour do not put any bleach on it. Bleach can only life the dark pigment it cannot tone the hair colour. So the best thing to use at this point is an ash toner or even a dye. Just watch it when you put it on as your hair can suck it up quite quickly. If it says to leave it on for 20mins i’d only leave it on for 10 because you could end up with a grey look.
Just make sure you use tonnes of conditioner and hair treatment throughout this process and don’t put your hair through any unecessary stress such as straightening or blushing your hair while its still wet. Use a wide tooth comb. And good luck!
