Semi-permanent hair dye at 14.5 weeks?
I am feeling guilty for using a 10-minute, semi-permanent dye at 14 weeks pregnant. I know there’s no conclusive proof of harm to the fetus, but there’s no conclusive evidence that it’s safe, either. At least I waited until after the 1st trimester as recommended, but I feel so guilty knowing I potentially put my baby at risk. I won’t do it again because it’s a horrible feeling, but has anyone else done this?
I am naturally a blonde, but dyed my hair brown prior to becoming pregnant, so I had platinum blonde roots in brown hair and it made me feel bad about myself. I let my lack of self-esteem get the better of me and now wish I wouldn’t have. :/
Don’t feel guilty! My mom is a hairstylist and does TONS of preggo womens hair! She fully dyed my hair blonde when I was 18 weeks. When I asked her about it harming the baby she said that they have greatly improved the hair dye products and that as long as you are in a WELL ventilated room, then you’ll be just fine! My son was born perfectly healthy!!! Good Luck!
