Dimensions
This one weighs just under 200 lbs, so it is heavy enough that it will probably require a dolly to get in place. It is 20 * 24 *20, which is fairly large for the low price.
Break-in resistance
The door steel thickness is just 1 inch. There are certainly much thicker doors on the market, but for the price this isn’t bad.
It also has a 12 gauge uni-body build, and this reinforces it, making it very hard to break into. In addition, it is floor mounted, which will prevent anyone from walking off with it. That, combined with the weight, makes it extremely unlikely that any thief will be able to make off with it.
The good news is, unlike some floor-mounted models, it can bolt down very easily. All you need is a hammer drill. For most people, this should be a simple job.
Fire resistance
This is where this safe SHINES. It can withstand a 1200 degree fire for 75 minutes, which is EXCELLENT considering the cheap price.
Interior
This is the one glaring weakness of this safe. It only comes with two shelves. This is surprisingly few for an interior this size.
Features
It comes with an interior light, which is a nice feature for the pric. Also, it has a VERY LIMITED lifetime warranty… although there are many things it does not cover.
The bottom line-the H4 is the cheapest of the Cannon Gun Safes. While you can get higher quality by paying more, for the price this one’s features are quite impressive.
