Should I get rid of my son’s toys?
My son, who is 5, received some antique toy soldiers but we had them tested and our pediatrician says they are made out of lead! We have about 20 horsemen and 36 other little soldiers and little cannons. They are really cute but would it just be safest to trash them? Our trash company said they would get “recycled” by going safely into the garbage burner.
Yes, get rid of them. Put them on Ebay and you’ll probably get a good chunk of change for them.
Take your son to the toy store, and let him pick out anything he wants (within reason) to replace the toy. Let him know that they can make him sick, and once he sees that he gets to pick something out, he’ll be fine.
