Can a police officer confiscate a safe from your car?
For example,I have a small $50 flat safe in my car,that is locked,holds paperwork creditcards etc. no firearms,no drugs. It was a gift.
If i get pulled over,and for whatever reason the cop wants to search my vehicle(fine,no prob) sees this safe,can he Demand I open it? What if I do not have the keys? if I do not,can he take it from me,without him even knowing whats in it? Like for instance if he gets paranoid about a gun in it,or drugs?
