So now that women are equal?
I suppose men can, delegate our “equal” female brethren the following tasks:
1. Guard the borders, stop invading armies, protect men and children.
2. Do the grunt work, plumbing, mining, manufacturing.
3. Make the scientific discoveries, more female Newtons, and Einsteins. More female Bill gates.
4. Make the discoveries. More female Christopher Columbus’s, Chuck Yeager’s, Neil armstrong’s.
5. Patrol the streets, make sure men are safe from rapists, etc.
6. Fight wars, to protect the men. More Female Spartans.
Are you willing to take the responsibility? So men can sit home and raise children?
What makes you think women are equal? That’s rather naive. And where the heck have you been living? Women have been doing most of that stuff for decades, and would do more if the sexist pigs wouldn’t block the way?
We are willing to accept the responsibilities along with the privileges. Are you willing to take on your fair share? Child rearing? Housework? Other woman’s work while raising children and taking care of a household? All at a much lower pay than a man gets?
Women are in the military, but the military won’t let them do the jobs you list.
When women get the same chance at education and research jobs, there will be plenty of them doing the same scientific discoveries. Or did you forget Marie Curie was a female. A lot of other scientific discoveries were made by women, or with women actively involved, but men took the credit. DNA double helix is one example.
Did you know that women who wanted to be astronauts, and many did, were given tougher standards to qualify and they still weren’t allowed to go up for the Gemini and Apollo missions?
Women have been cops for a long time. Protecting men from the rare case of rape, as well as protecting the 1/3 of the female population that is raped.
I already do plumbing in my home and there are plenty of women plumbers. I do lots of other home repairs, as do a large number of women. I’m better at a lot of them than most men I know.
If they allowed women in the mines (and I dont’ think anyone should be in the mines), they would be there. (Discrimination does exist.) Women would love to have the high paying manufacturing jobs – including welding, auto assembly, etc. Instead they still get stuck with low paying pink collar jobs. And who do you think did all the manufacturing and building during WWII when the men were fighting? (And women weren’t allowed to.) Ever hear of Rosie the Riveter? My mother was a marine in WWII.
You have a serious deficiency in your history. I suggest you take a woman’s history class because your ignorance is appalling.
Then try actually spending 24 hours a day, with no time off, raising kids, (I’d suggest childbirth, but you couldn’t tolerate the pain). You think it’s a cakewalk? What about the women who spend all that time raising kids and holding down a full time job, while the husband comes home and relaxes in the evening, expecting the working mother to cook and clean for him.
I dare you to spend a year as a single working mother, or a working mother with a husband to take care of. Then come back here and imply that it’s easy.
