Is ghost hunting safe?
Okay well When i grow up, I’m pretty sure I wanna discover ghost. I’m 14. Like, I’m Really interested in ghost. I like knowning about them. What could they possibly to to harm someone.? I like lisening to ghost voices. I would actually take pictures of of a cometary when my mom drives by one in the night. I wanna know if when i get to actually be a ghost hunter, Would it be safe? And is there any programs i could go into? Like on Discovery kids, or something?
In most cases, ghost hunting is like deer hunting. You grab your kit and head out, hoping you find a nice one.
However, like deer hunting, I am against ghost hunting. I mean, what have they ever done to YOU? Thus, movies where they get the upper hand on some fool invading their turf suit me fine. Who knows, you may one day meet one who will hunt you.
Sorry, I have a thing about people who mess around with things they don’t know about, so they can make a “reality” TV show that is about as real as the girl’s boobs are (100% synthetic).
Ghosts are all around us, IF you know where to look. In most cases, they don’t hurt a soul, and should be left along UNLESS they want to “talk” to you. I have yet to encounter a violent spirit, or even an “evil” one, and I’m old. From what I have seen, they are just like you and me. None of that christian BS about evil spirits or anything. Most, in fact, seem to have been very religious in life, as the times were, and have changed little in death.
Starting with Ghost-busters in the 1980s, there has been a fad about hunting and destroying them since they scare pathetic little mortals. Like other things, movies are made up. If they were true, they would be very boring to most. No sex, drugs, violence, murder, gang-banging, or anything like that. Even the “reality” shows make up what you see, because they cannot control the ghosts by a contract (and would it even be binding since they won’t pay them for showing up?).
Your open-mindedness about their existence is hopeful. Learning how to use the tools to know if they are there is not a bad thing, so long as we know they don’t harm them in any way (which science usually does at first). But, you really don’t need an expensive list of toys to know what is going on. You have many that are natural to your body, when you learn to use them. The biggest one is often between your ears, right behind your eyes. Sadly, too many in bollywood forget this and go for ratings over all else.
UVA and UNC, I think, had programs in parapsychology, at least in the past. Today, who knows? If they think there is money to be made again, they may reopen them if they have closed. Most Americans, however, only want money, and parapsychology doesn’t pay very well, for the reasons I mentioned above.
