How do I lower my SafeStat score?
I am the safety manager for a large trucking company in Texas. Our SafeStat score is well in the 90′s, and we are experiencing some difficulties as a result. Our drivers are being stopped and ticketed excessively, and we have lost several large clients due to our high score. Does anyone know how to get your score lower? If you have dealt with anyone who is effective in assisting in this area please let me know, we are running out of options! We payed a consultant a couple hundred thousand dollars, and he got us nowhere, I even hired a company to help clear our moving violations(a large part of why our score is so high), and all they did was refer us to lawyers that cost us even more money. Any experience you have had that has been EFFECTIVE would be greatly appreciated.
I understand what you are going through. Our company had the same problem and I tried a lot of ways to get it lowered but nothing helped. One of our drivers told us to talk to a company that had helped him to have citations removed from his driving record. I called American Drivers Association to see if they could do anything about our SafeStat score. They were awesome. They have in less than a year lowered our score below 75 and have kept our drivers citations from becoming a part of their records (which allows us to keep our drivers) and off of our SafeStat. Their MVR and SafeStat specialists are very professional and their services cost my company nothing as we bill our drivers for their membership fees. The great thing is that their service is all inclusive and they don’t charge anything extra and they don’t refer out. We have saved thousands of dollars using this service because we have a lower insurance rate, no danger of audits, and our customer base has increased. Our drivers are thrilled with their service so I would say that they helped turned our company around and made it more profitable.
