I’m trying to install Windows 7, but when I reboot I get the blue error screen of death!?
I have a Dell Inspiron 530 with Intel Q6600, 3GB RAM, and a 500GB hard drive. I had a Vista and XP dual boot before, but the XP got infected. I formatted the drive and installed 7 on it. I turned on Vista and put in the disk. It did some stuff, then rebooted. On the reboot. it says “Starting Windows” for a little bit, then gave me the blue error screen of death. Here’s the STOP code:

I cannot access Windows normally or in safe mode. If I try to access the Vista, then it will simply restart. I am not willing to reformat the whole hard disk, unless it is my last choice.
The computer came with Vista, so Windows 7 should work on it. I wouldn’t know if Vista worked without the XP because I formatted the partition via Vista and tried to install 7 from Vista. I have not changed any of my hardware at all.
