plug inside gas tank burnt?
well i removed my fuel pump cause i had issues getting the car started. i noticed the problem. my plug from the inside was burnt. the wires are burnt as well. now theres 4 plugs in the socket, two of them are burnt, the other two are not used. im thinking of move it over to the plugs that arent being used. question is, will it be safe for me to solder up direct wires to the plug and direct it to my fuel pump? also what type of compound could i add to the plug so that it wont burn out again. i know factory put some paste with the sockets.
If the fuel pump has many miles and years of service, I would install a new pump and you’ll be sure to fix all the problems. It may even come with new adapter cables.
