In my humble opinion, I would use the keypad entry. The fingerprint scan is infallible, but the possibility always exists of a circuit or system failure.
You may have that safe on your dresser for 20 years and never “need” to use it. One day, a lifethreat arises, you go to the safe and the system fails. A bad time to consider writing a letter of complaint to the manufacturer.
Keep it as simple as possible. The least items that can fail will give a greater likelyhood of gaining access to your weapon in the one moment when it counts the most.
