Moving to Phoenix/Scottsdale area, need advice on ranges/stores?
I’m moving to the Phoenix/Scottsdale area. I’m an avid shooter and I’m looking for an indoor range, outdoor range, gun stores, and IDPA & USPSA clubs.
Indoor range: Looking into joining the Scottsdale Gun Club, any experience with them? Basically I’m looking for an indoor range to avoid the heat, have empty lanes whenever I want to shoot, have a good price on membership.
Outdoor range: Looking for a 100yd and 200yd (better if has 300yd too) ranges to shoot my 308 and 223.
IDPA and USPSA clubs: Any local clubs that welcomes new members and doesn’t have too many whiny shooters. I’m mainly looking for a relax, safe, and a “have fun” atmosphere.
Gun stores: Looking for a shop that has a wide selection and good prices on firearms and ammo.
It is a little bit out of the way but Rio Salado is the best group of guys to shoot with. No whining, very diverse group of skills and everybody is there to have a good time.
