Why do police even need to ask?
when a police officer pulls over a car who’s driver is drunk why don’t they just look at what kind of beer is in the cup holder next to the driver, if its Corona, which was originally a German beer, they are legal, if they have a dozen empty Tecate cans on the floor board and one in the cup holder they are illegal, pretty simple
also one must have at least a basic understanding of the English language to become a citizen and those who are visiting are required to carry their passport, so it a police officer comes in contact with someone who cannot speak English and does not have a passport they know right then and there they have an illegal
also, since 87% of illegals in AZ have criminal records why doesn’t AZ just send them letters making them all aware of a hot sauce giveaway, when they all show up they can grab them, its easy, cheap and safe and will immediately eliminate 87% of of the illegals in AZ
any reason why any of these ideas wouldn’t work?
All of these are examples of racial profiling, which I am against:
Corona: your claim people of German descent aren’t illegal
Tecate: obviously, you are saying that mexicans drink Tecate.
Can’t speak English: anyone that has english as a second language will speak bad english, so now all foreigners will be subject to “show me your papers” (if they get pulled over), and since most of the foreigners are from Mexico, this will clearly affect mainly Mexicans.
You say there’s no racial profiling but everything you just described used profiling. You create a law that specifically keeps it convenient for the vast majority of white people while making it very inconvenient for immigrants (who would predominantly be Mexican).
If you want to stop illegal immigration, then pass a law that requires cops to pull over random cars and ask for a birth certificate, if one cannot be produced by any passengers, then they are all arrested until they can prove citizenship. It’s that simple, no profiling!
If there are 10 million people living in Arizona, and say there are 100 cops (which I think is a VERY conservative estimate, it’s likely MUCH higher).
If each of those 100 cops can make 5 stops in an hour. Then they can stop 5*40 = 200 people in a 40 hour work week.
So that’s:
100*200 = 20,000 people a week.
In a year (~50 weeks): 50 * 20,000 = 1,000,000
In 10 years every single person will have come into contact with the police. If you say that there are 5 times as many cops (500), then they can make 5 times as many contacts, and now it takes 2 years…maybe they can’t really make 5 stops/hour, say it’s 2 (about half), then maybe it takes 4 years…20 years if there’s only 100 cops.
But I mean, if numbers is what’s important. How much is a cops salary? 50k?
1,000 * 50k = 50 million
So this program only costs 50 million a year, that’s a drop in the bucket…especially if the federal government subsidized it (50 million = 5% of a billion = .005% of a trillion).
There you go, problem solved, your welcome…but you probably didn’t want to get pulled over, so I’m guessing you don’t like that solution.

Not that you care, but here I explain why I don’t like racial profiling, furthermore you gave me an explanation, but just as I thought your explanation required racial profiling, you would be breaking your own law!
