what kind of lock does the remline GC908 Gun cabinet safe have?
I am thinking about buying one of these safes but i want to know if it is a combination safe or a keyed safe any one out there that has one please help me out i have searched the web but have came up empty handed
It appears to be a keyed lock like a $20 file cabinet. It isn’t really a safe at all. It is just a metal cabinet that is made out of thicker guage metal. If you look in the picture at the door. It is open and you will see the metal lock arms that run vertically up and down the opened outer edge. That is for the bolts to lock in on the top and bottom when the key is turned.
I can have that opened in less than a minute and you wouldn’t even know I was there. Lock picking is not a difficult thing and if people realized how easy it was they would soo begin to realize that maybe they are not so safe or secure after all.
Double your investment and buy a formidable gun safe. You can buy a 8-14 gun safe for under $350 that has a combo dial or a digi pad. After all it isn’t hand tools here.
