Dehumidifier Gun Safe?
My dryer vents into the garage, where my gun is safe, and it causes a lot of condensation to accumulate on my guns, almost enough to form droplets. Is a dehumidifier be enough to get rid of this lot humidity and what kind should I get? Im also working on getting the dryer vented elsewhere, but I'm on a limited budget
Purge in the house / garage is a violation of the code. This will cause the rock to build sheet and insualtion moisture and mold that will collapse and separate from the walls. Your guns are already ruined – especially those with a wood stock. No doubt it will take a year or two in a box with 0 humidity and a good heater to see exactly what the final destruction. The wood absorbed moisture from and this will bring to expand and warp. As the wood warps, it will push, pull, and stress the receiver and the barrel, where they meet. Causes the gun to be inaccurate. When you fix the vent and humitidy back to normal – the timber will probably not – and if so, it will probably crack. If you have AR-15 is – Search the tell tale white powder of aluminum oxide. This is your turn to gun powder. All internal parts of your guns must be cleaned, dried and wiped with oil. You must move within the canons asap, and the next course. Dehumidifiers are safer 8W to 12W only.
