I Lost my gun license 5 years ago shootingin a NSW state Forest, i am know applying for a QLD one.?
Am I wasting my time? i am about to do the required safety course and purchase a safe. I lost my NSW License 5 years ago while shooting in a state forest. The police also deemed my rifle was kept unsafe the night before as i withdrew it the my platoons armoury the nite before as i wouldn’t be able to get it out the morning i wanted to go hunting( Iwas in the army at the time). I have found out that to obtain a QLD license u have to have no offences in the last 5 years, my NSW offence was over 5 years ago. Can anybody give me any info on this subject???
G’day mate,I think it is 10 years before you can reply if you have a offense,but i have heard of guys trying and have got there gun license back.It all depends on the offense,i thought state forest you are allowed to shoot in but state park yr not allowed unless u have permission from the ranger and he tells you what you can shoot and what not to shoot,but again im in Victoria so it must be different from state to state.Good luck getting it back.I have hunted in N.S.W. but it has always been private property,but i wouldn’t go buying anything till you pass the test and you pay for yr license.Yr not wasting yr time just try it.cheers mate
