Gun Safes Rooms
would you feel safer in a room with people that are not aloud to carry a gun and be a target?
i read where someone wants to make this a black and white thing it is not. if we are not aloud to carry guns then it makes us all targets as you are in the store so a%^ will come in and go off knowing no one can do anything at least now we can put the thought in the jerks mind to think again.please dont let the us become a danger to you and me. more then it is!
first off anyone can snap all it takes is one bad day gun or no gun here in the us thier are no gun zones till vt the worst killing was in a no gun zone where most of the people had guns but were in the car and the guys knew that that mad them a target. in the us we are a target for hate from other countrys already and i will not become one for anyone from here i am not saying arm everyone but if somebody wants one bad enough they can off of most street corners that needs to stop not taking away my rights to protect me or you or for the hunter that eats his/her kill for food.
Just have a look at statistics. There are much fewer gun-related crimes in countries that have stricter rules about gun possession. In the USA any psycho can own a gun and buy as many as he wants. Nobody knows it’s a psycho until he snaps and walks into a school and starts shooting people. In countries where there are stricter rules and less guns such things don’t happen. Do you think that’s a coincidence? Less guns does not mean that we are less able to defend ourselves, it means less psychos with guns and less chances of somebody else using a gun against us.
Why You Need A Gun Safe If You Own A Gun
We all know the story. You turn on the news to a report of someone accidentally being killed by a gun that was not locked up. More often than you might think toddlers, children and teens come across a gun that is not in a gun safe. They don’t understand or comprehend the consequences. So what do they do? They pick the gun up. They think they are just playing until the gun goes off, accidentally killing or injuring an innocent child victim. The parents are devastated, having thought that their hiding spot would never be found or reached by their child. This is just one of the reasons why gun owners need to safely secure their weapons inside their home.
Another reason to own a gun safe, if you own guns, is to protect your investment from intruders. Guns are expensive and intruders can easily walk away with them if you do not have them secured. Especially if you own expensive hunting rifles which can easily cost several hundred dollars to well over a thousand or own collectible and antique guns that are not replaceable, you will want to safely lock them up where intruders cannot get a hold of them.
Gun safes come in a variety of shapes and styles and with varying price tags to suit just about anyone’s needs. To start with you can purchase just a shot gun safe if that is all you own right up to large safes that are extra tall and deep and can hold multiple riffles. There are firearm safes that can fit into your floor boards or even your wall. These tend to be for smaller guns.
Most larger shot gun and riffle safes can hold multiple guns. They usually have racks inside to hold the riffles in place and additional shelves that are great for storing your ammunition and smaller pistols. Many people who own these types of safes will often store other items in them as well. Extra shelves can hold valuable jewelry or collections. Many times hunters also have a knife collection that can easily be stored along with the riffles.
When shopping for a gun safe here are some things to consider. If you are looking for extra security from theft you may want to purchase a gun safe that can be bolted down to the ground and/or has a security alarm attached. Also check to make sure the safe you purchase is solidly built. It should have good metal thickness all around, not just at the door.
When purchasing, you will of course want to pick a safe that is large enough for your current collection, and if you have any thoughts of owning more guns in the future you should also make sure there is room to grow. Finally, make sure you pick a locking mechanism that will work for you. There are a variety of options including combo locks, key pad locks and even voice or fingerprint recognition locks.
