it would certainly take care of a lot of crime.
if we all had a gun then we think more about starting a gun fight.
If there was a shooting then we could all take part too and help the police.
No more gun permits and anybody not carrying a proper weapon should be arrested.Also gun shops will sale more and have lower prices and tax free too.
america will be a safer place, after all it is not guns who kill but people.

Your first question was not asked correctly, and there are two issues. One, is ownership, and 2. is carrying. The latter may be broken down in to sections, concealed, and open carry.

I’m a senior. I and all my family,, including children, and acquaintances and friends through the years have ALL owned guns, both handguns and long-guns. No one whom I have known personally has ever been arrested and charged with a gun crime. I’m convinced that they were safer in their homes.
The availability of guns in shops here has no impact on their cost.
The problem are idiots who steal other people’s guns, and use them to cowardly settle disputes. We need swift (!!) justice for these criminals, not bans, permits, controls, etc.
Where I live, I need no permit, the government does not know if I own guns or not, nor how many, and I am free to carry a gun just about anywhere. I’ve never shot anyone, and have no interest in doing so.But I like to keep the playing field even.
Now, we need no law to allow people to buy guns; we need the courts to strike DOWN laws restricting gun ownership. I object to registration, but accept it in principle as a necessary evil. Registration usually leads to confiscation.
