It just may be impossible to exhaust the creative potential of LEGO bricks. With an active imagination as your guide, there are endless possibilities-provided you follow the LEGO Company’s official (and sensible) rules. This means no cutting or tampering with bricks, creating models that shoot unapproved projectiles, or using non-standard parts with any LEGO product. After all, those little precis…

Question about aquadilla/ isabella puerto rico places to stay, beaches, locals?

Hello all
I will be going to puerto rico (isabella rincon area)for twenty days with a backpack, surfboards, $$ and maybe small tent. My plan is to wave down a taxi to isabela, observe beautiful sights, maybe surf the local break, and then adventure further west down to aguadilla; (maybe majorly by foot, and bus) surfing, reading, meeting people and camping out where i can. The major visualized concept for the adventure is a complete escape, from law school, and from my comfort zone.

My question pertains to the actuallity of my plan occuring, are the gun weilding thieves to thick and desperate to rob a camping surfbum :) Also are there enough local inns, to rent a room etc, take a bus or taxi, i know thier infrastructer is not the best. Also i know the trail has been done in safer times, but i havent met anyone who has been to PR and walked the coast in search of aquatic enlightenment :) since the 1960′s…sooo any information on the topic/suggest would be greatly appreciated

Ok well let me start by telling you that the transortation is limited in PR. In the metropolitan area(San juan) there is lots of transit, but the rest of the island lacks. By the way in PR the word for bus is Guagua. Now to take a taxi to Isabella from San Juan, my guess is about $200 1 way b/c its like 2 hours from San Juan. & for this price its better to rent a car. Thrifty by the airport rents for about $35 a day. If you still dont want to spend this much ur only other option is hitch hicking & yes that can be dangerous. Do you know spanish? Many people speak english but as you get farther away from San Juan it will get harder & harder to communicate. That will make hitch hicking much more dangerous. Puerto Rico is the US so its not as dangerous as some other countries. But it can still be. Dont go to any caserios(housing projects). & the only thing I can think of to make it cheaper is to go on a tour from San Juan to Camuy Caves which is usually around $45 & leave from there. Then take a taxi from there. Or from San Juan try to take a public car. But I am not sure how realiable or easy to find they are & if you do not speak spanish it wont be easy.

Now u will be ok finding a place to stay. There are lots of small local motels & things real cheap. They wont be really nice, but cheap. Also some beaches have camping areas. Usually an elevated mountain area right off the beach. You can camp free or for a small fee. But do not just sleep on a beach w/ no camp ground. You might get in trouble b/c its usually not allowed or possibility of someone rbbing you. I think no one will want to rob a ‘beachbum’ lol but just to be safe.

Anyway I want to wish u luck b/c PR is beautiful! & for the most part people are helpful & friendly. The food is delicious too! Also dont forget to see 1 of the bioluminescent bays if u can & Camuy Caves, Arecibo Observatory & the Yunque rain forest if u go that way at all. & rincon is a surfers heaven. ENJOY!!
