if i make a zip gun out of stainless round stock with a 1″ thick wall, will it be reasonable safe?
i want to ma cine a vary nice zip gun, i dont see how the barrel could ever blow with those specs.
ps: i plan on test firing it out of hand many times, then checking for compromises to the structure

IF the “firearm” meets all applicable laws regarding length etc, then yes, you can build a firearm for your own use (according to how I read the BATFE laws),. We built some nice rolling block carbines for ourselves in a class I took years ago. But there are usually local and state laws to contend with as well. no one with any common sense will tell you “yes” to a certainty on the specs because it can open them to liability when you get hurt. My advice is to obtain some spec sheets and go from there.
