I have a question about fingerprint security devices?

if we can put these devises on computers and open safes with them and bank doors using fingerprint recognition why cant they do that on triggers of guns so when stolen or taken out of the hands of the owner or officer they are rendered usless and they wouldnt be so eager to steal something they couldn’t use
that is why so many cell phones are not stolen now days is the are easy to trace and hard to access

You have a good idea going, but it would overcomplicate weapons, plus fingerprint scanners are not always reliable. Imagine a cop not being able to fire because it didnt recognize his fingerprint.
