Able to keep Firearms/Airsoft Rifles in barracks?
I’m shipping off to basic training in a few months after I reach weight, and am wondering after I am assigned a duty station if I would be able to keep a personal firearm or even just an airsoft rifle in my room. I would love to purchase an M556A1 from Heckler & Koch once they come on the market next year as well as a few airsoft weapons to mess around with on the weekends, would just like to know if I would either have to find somewhere off-base to keep them or if it is possible just to keep them in my personal room in the barracks. Also, it wouldn’t happen to be illegal or anything to play in my ACU’s would it? Or would it be safer just to buy ACU knock offs to play in.
Don’t do it. You are not allowed to keep any kind of weapons in the barracks that includes all knives except for pocket knives. One bad surprise inspection and you are headed to Ft Leavenworth.
