When I go to Start => Run or just start Notepad the virus starts typing “Sumanya” and it locks down the PC?
Big virus in PC! Lost total control of PC Please help?
My home PC is totally screwed. When I plug in a pen drive the virus replaces all my folders with exe’s that look like folders. Next when I try to run task manager it says Task Manager has been disabled by administrator. When I go to Start -> Run or just start notepad the virus starts typing “Sumanya” and it locks down the PC (I lose control). Bitdefender failed find any virus. The virus is also in Safe Mode!! it still keeps typing in text boxes in safe mode! What do I do
I’d hate to reinstall. I tried to run SmitFraudFix but nothing is working >:(. And oh the virus came from another infected pen drive
DON’T LISTEN TO “Uranie W” !!! HE IS SENDING YOU TO A SITE THAT HAS VIRUSES!!! I WENT TO THE SITE AND MY VIRUS PROTECTION WENT CRAZY!!!!
If this is the case, then your best bet is to take the hard drive out and ask the geek squad to run a scan on it. If they don’t find anything, I would ask them to extract the data and just reinstall everything.
There is not a whole lot that can be done without someone troubleshooting the issue. I can think of what I just mentioned, or if you could, try going into safemode under the administrator account and running malwarebytes anti-malware.
If the virus has put a password on the administrator account, you could try and find a free download of LockSmith. You probably have to download it illegaly to get it for free. It allows you to start the computer with the CD and change any password you want.
That is my only suggestions with out trying to troubleshoot the issue personally. Because I am not there, I suggest my first suggestion would probably be the best.
