I heard those timers you buy to turn lights on-off are dangerous?
those house timers {with pins} you buy to turn lights on and off, to make it look like someone is home. i heard they are dangerous because they heat up, and may melt. i also heard the new digital ones are safer. ……..i want to buy one, can someone verify the safeness’s or unsafeness’s of timers. thanks
I have several timers around my house and commercial building. Most are pin type. Use with several different type of lights. Used for florescent bulbs used for incandescent, used for LED. Never had any problems. Have used several for 8 to 10 years. I do have one digital timer, it keeps needing to have the time reset.
