My safe is locked out, how do i fix it?
My electronic keypad access honeywell safe’s door is open but the keypad refuses to function. I replaced new batteries and let it sit for hours but when i disconect the power supply and reconnect the keypad lights up and then it emits a long tone. When i push a key the red light flashes once and does not make a noise.
Honeywell model keypads can usually be rendered ineffective by shorting them out with an electrical wire. I’ve heard this problem before and I would recommend taking an extention cord, prying off one of the buttons with a screwdrivers and inserting a wire. If the mechanism stays locked, I would call the company.
