Insurance Picks Safest Cars

Insurance Picks Safest Cars

Should I save up for a car?
I’ll most likely be getting my license around November or December.
- One of my parents can always drive me to school, but to pick me up, one of them has to leave work early
- I don’t really know anyone who lives in my direction to carpool with (and I’d rather not carpool regularly)
- My walk is about 30 minutes, through 1-2 busy intersections depending on the route, and I often have extra things to carry
- My parents both need cars to go to work. My dad works everyday and my mom works 3-4 days
But I’d probably have to pay for my own gas and insurance, and a safer, newer car would be more expensive. Not to mention, I don’t have many places to go except school. I’m also 15 and a freshman. What do you think?
yes. you should save, cars last for years. if you get a decent car it could last you through college. you’ll have to buy one eventually anyways so why not start saving now?
you dont need a “safer newer car”. most used cars are just as good. probably a 1998/1999 model would be good. thats probably between 2,000-8,000 depending on how gently used.
