What kind of shroom is this?
I was walking in the forrest with some of my friends and around this time in the season, shrooms start popping up everywhere. I usually pick small liberty caps in a patch that I know is safe. Anyways, I stumbled on several large patches of what I think are liberty caps, but I’m not sure. It’s exactly the same shape of liberty caps, long stem, same sort of cap, but they were white, not dark brown. Does anyone know if lib caps can be bright white?

It’s not a death cap, I know quite a bit about shrooms and the entire shroom looks identical to a liberty cap but it’s bright white and I have never seen that before. Also, I think I may have stumbled upon someones harvest cause an old man was watching me while I was looking at them. I’m almost sure they’re hallucinogenic, I just can’t figure out which one.
Some of the deadliest mushrooms are white. Liberty caps are only brownish in color so it could be a death cap.
