NY City tourism/safest place?>?
so i’m going on vacation to see NYC, liek the statue of liberty and all those kinds of things, but i don’t wanna get mugged or shot….what are should i stay in? cost is not too much of a factor, assuming hotels are not like 5* or something….
I don’t see why everyone outside the city thinks NYC is so dangerous. It’s been cleaned up big time since the 80′s and is nowhere near as bad as the crime movies depict. As in any big city, use common sense (avoid unfamiliar areas especially at night, don’t show off money or valuables) and you’ll be fine. Avoid the subway late at night (and during rush hour if you or someone you’re travelling with is claustrophobic).
