I ask again about picking locks. It is a deadbolt lock. Is it easy to open without the key?
If it is so easy to open picking then why do we need locks and why do I see the cops on TV using Door bangers to knock the door down if one can pick a lock open? Or how can locks be selling in the billions if they are easily be opened with some tools?
I’m puzzle? Why use locks at all? Why robbers break windows when they could have picked it open with a paper clipper?
Or it is so hard to pick a lock that we are given information from movies that locks are easy to open without a key?
Like I see them open the safe without much effort. If it is so easy then why make a safe to keep important things inside and how can they be selling them to consumers if they are easy to open by someone who is trained. Or is this just in the movies? Any idea?
I will call the lock manufacturer to see what they will say about their locks. Maybe even ask a locksmith. My guess is the movie industry is making up something that is not true in reality.
Deadbolts are precisely that.
When the bolt is engaged, there is a cutout inside the shaft where it positions itself. It is not that easy to open it without a key.
What happens when you turn the key is that cutout and lever mechanism clears the shaft and the bolt opens.
With a pick, this is not possible unless you break the lock.
