She awoke with a start,baffled to find the left side of her cheek plastered to her lavatory seat. Her head was throbbing and her tongue seemed glued to the roof of her mouth.A strong stench of rancid puke permeated the air,reaching her nostrils and assaulting her orfactorily.
She looked around,and to her dismay noticed a trickling puddle of yellowish white spew all over the polished marble floors. Her DKNY shirt had a rivulet of the crap too.
“Oh fuck!” She tried to get up but her coordination was off balance and the action caused her to stumble into a heap of tangled limbs.”Damnit!”Plum wasn’t nouvel to swearing when she was pisses and right now she intended to foul mouth at everything.
The door to the bathroom opened to reveal her mother in her pink nightie and matching cashmere flip flops. It was safe to say she wasn’t fully awake until she took in the sight before her.
A few grammar errors, but good start. It makes me wonder what happened to the character to lead to that situation and what is going to happen next.
Installing The Perfect Marble Floor: A Fact Check!
Using marble tiles for your floors is preferred by most households. It provides a bit of class to the home décor. Marble flooring is used for ages. Interestingly, marbles are not only used at homes. They are now also popular in offices and other public structures.
Marbles do not have to be white all the time. They infact come in a variety of tones and shades that add a special something to your home. However, remember that marbles themselves are costly. Installing them too requires money. So it is vital that you lay them on the floor in the perfect fashion. Even a small over-looked problem can cause you much financial crisis later. To be on the safe side, it is important to know the correct techniques, tools and preparation methods to fix your marble floorings perfectly. The floor over which you are laying the marbles must be completely flat. Marbles are heavy and you cannot and should not place them on floors which have a rough surface. Check for the small uneven spaces and fill the gaps with cement. Also you should check the slope of the floor. Use a rope to check the slope because it is very difficult to place marbles on sloping surface. It is better to level the floor beforehand rather than let the marble tiles to be cracked later. Some floors can be semi yielding or not too strong. You can use plywood to strengthen it and then go for placement of the tiles.
Mapping the floor area is very important. Do measure the length and breadth of the floor. This will help you determine the exact centre point, because you will start laying the tiles at the centre. It is always better to put down the real marbles on the floor once before laying it permanently with mortar. This will help you find problems in the floor. This will also help you to adjust the dead centre. Often it is difficult to map a room perfectly because of its irregular shape. Then the best option is to lay down the marble tiles on the floor to check whether they match your measurement of the area.
Layout of the floor is essential. You cannot start haphazardly. You will have to start from the dead centre and then move forward from there. First choose a tile for the centre spot. Create a mark around the tile on the floor. Remove the marble tile and put thin-set mortar on the marked area. Now return the tile to the exact place. Starting with this central point you can move towards either sides or diagonally cover the floor. You should always use mortar tape to avoid cracks on floor boards. You should leave a gap between each tile. This gap should be of 1/16th of an inch and this provides the symmetry and a leveled look to the floor. Remember to dry the entire floor sufficiently after the marble tiles are laid. Also keep in mind you need to seal the floor and resealing should be done after every 6 to 8 months. If a single tile cracks you can simply pull it out and paste a new one with mortar.
