How to Travel Safe
Traveling solely can be a liberating experience for one, I enjoyed it as it had always signified freedom and grit for me. I think that’s the reason I cherish journey & leisure time so much. It allows one the opportunity to alien, where nobody knows you and therefore you are always a bit tempted to act of norm. Yet the benefits going solo are immeasurable. There are, however, those indecorous individuals always lurking at tourist spots to try to take advantage of your liberated feelings, so it pays to take a few measures when you travel so that you and fellow mates can stay safe.
Here are a few safety tips to help you enjoy your vacation traveling safe:
- Always keep all doors and windows safely locked to your hotel room.
- Do not swank your wealth, keep large quantities hidden and only keep a few bills in your wallet to ensure safety.
- Do not carry your best belongings. Leave your prodigal stuff at home or locked in a hotel safe.
- Be Aware – This doesn’t mean being paranoid. It only means when you are walking from your hotel into town, register landmarks and remember street names. Notice your milieu, but don’t forget to notice the people around you too. If you keep seeing the same guy turning up at the market or near your hotel, take note. If a guy gets it in his head that he wants to follow or harass you, ignore him or be firm and ask him politely to leave you alone. Always be ahead of the game.
- Hire a reputable guide to show you around
- Try to keep liquor consumption under control. Nothing spells “target” more than a falling down drunk.
- Take Calculated Risks – Traveling is about risk, after all. Jumping on a bus to an unknown destination, talking to strangers in a bar, getting off the map. As a traveler, you can minimize problems by basic planning. Try to avoid arriving in places at night, have enough money with you to check into a hotel without going to an ATM when you arrive somewhere new, and don’t go off with your new friends if you have no idea how to get home.
- Remember your dad warned you about walking down dark alleys? So, do not walk around at night in dark areas such as unlit gardens or beaches, unless with a large group.
- Country Law officers do not want tourists to ever be harassed or mistreated so don’t hesitate to contact them if you feel you are being watched, stalked or singled out. They are there for your safety
- Make friends with travelers as this is the best assurance of all.
So, the bottom line is Travel Safe, if you still feel confused go through the content once again and try to memorize the above tips & essentials as they will definitely help you in your safe journey.

Safe is the safest Ornament
During the early times, people usually used to hide their money and precious jewels in hidden compartments of their closets, under piles of clothes or even under their mattresses. All these were in no way a secure method to keep the belongings safe and out of the hands of robbers. Moreover, confidential papers and invoices were locked in drawers that were easy for the right kind of thieves to get their hands on by breaking them. After the industrialization era, new methods were introduced to the general public that would help them in keeping their belongings secure. One of them was called the safe. As per its name, it keeps your jewellery, cash, bank statements, confidential papers and many more things ‘safe’ from the prying eyes and grubby hands of others.A safe is usually made out of reinforced steel, iron or any other strong metal. It is a box that is used for securing valuable and precious items. It is shaped like a cuboid with its front side forming a hinged door.
Its structure is impenetrable by any kind of theft or damage and its door providing the only mode of access. Some safes are also known to be out of plastic but they do not provide that kind of high level security that a metal one delivers. The safes can be situated almost anywhere. They can be installed in your walls by making a hollow space of the same dimensions as the safe in the wall. Moreover, they can be kept in your closet or open on the floor. As long as they are locked, you might as well keep them out in the open since no one will be able to crack them open without your knowledge or permission. The major benefit of a safe is that it is theft-proof. No thieve can break through it with even a dynamite, though that depends on the kind of metal the safe is made of. Also, it is virtually impossible to drill holes in the safe. It is an airtight box which provides no gaps or spaces for the thief to take advantage of.A safe made out of reinforced metal can resist the forces of nature. It is impervious to dusty winds and the push of water. The reason for this is simply the safe being completely airtight. It does not have any holes or crack through which the dirt and water may be able to enter inside it and cause damage to your possessions.
Moreover, these metallic safes are also fire-proof. They can resist high temperatures with much ease without distorting their original shape. In case of a fire burning down your house of office building, the safe would resist the damages as the metal is not affected by fire. It will not catch fire or have a meltdown. However, plastic safes are a separate story.
There are different access methods of a safe lock. The lock can be key-opened and usually a brass or iron key does the job. They can also have dial that opens by applying the right combination. Some even have a time-lock which means the door to the safe will open after pre-set time intervals. However, due to being time set they are much susceptible to be cracked if they fall under the wrong hands. The most popular access method, though, nowadays is the electronic lock. The lock has a numeric or alphabetic keypad which opens if the correct password or code is entered on it.
