If so, tonight when he comes home, walk with him to his safe and tell him to open it. Don’t take no for an answer, particularly if you think he is hiding drugs.

These locks operate on a dial system where you enter your combination via the numbers on the dial and rotating the dial clockwise and counterclockwise. A series of gears inside the lock will only open the lock once the preset code has been matched. Combination locks are favored as there are no batteries to replace and for those who prefer tradition over technology.
Electronic Safes – Electronic locks have been installed on safes for the past 10 years as an alternative to combination safes. Electronic safes generally operate on a small set of batteries and provide access to the safe when a user enters a numeric PIN. Electronic safes are generally favored when multiple people need access to a safe and where the owner can easily add or delete PINS for various users which is a great benefit in a business setting. With a combination lock, you only have one PIN. With an electronic lock you can have multiple PINS for various users. Most electronic safes come with some sort of backup key system that will provide access to the safe in case the owner forgets to change the batteries.
Biometric Safes – Biometric locks are the latest trend in security safes and security in general. A biometric safe provides access to the unit by reading a persons fingerprint. A fingerprint is easily enrolled into the unit and any time that fingerprint is recognized the safe will either open or lock. Biometric safes have come a long way but have proven to be very dependable and reliable. Most biometric safes open in less than one second. Again, if you’re looking to buy a safe with a fingerprint lock, look for a model that has a backup key system as well. Biometric safes are favored by those who need fast access to valuables.
