Opening Meilink Safes
Why won’t my Meilink safe open with the combination?
I have a 1947 Meilink safe. I have the comb. It WILL NOT OPEN!!!! I have been told /have conflicking information as to how it opens. Here’s the Jest….Original paperwork says:4-3-2-w/LRL…then R till dial stops. It will not open doing this. Comb. has been changed…..This paperwork says 3-2-1…LRL then R to 0. Still will not open. After numerous tries the 321-LRL-and then back to the R till it stops approach yeilds more results than the 432 LRL in opening this safe…you can just “FEEL” the difference. So…after sticking with the 321-LRL_ R to zero till it stopped approach….I started to think that either the drop bolt spring was bound or worn-out, or just something to do with the drop bolt function was not letting it slide. To drill the safe would make it not re-usable. There is nothing of value in this safe except for the safe itself. To buy a safe like this would cost in the upwards of $1600.00…this one is free IF i can get it opened. ANYONE WITH ANY CLUES OR OPINIONS?????
Sorry but I don’t think anyone here can answer that question. If you really want to find an answer for your question which I assume you do I will recommend www.google.com only problem is that it might take a bit of searching.
Also try www.youtube.com because chances are there is a video that will answer your question
Good luck
