Is there a safer place to go in California /Radiation?
I am the the type of person that normally has a good gut feeling about things. And, I strongly believe that the media is downplaying just how bad it could get here in California. The proof is what is happening in Japan right now! They told people not to worry, or panic and now it’s hell there. Does anyone that is good with Science or so know about a safer place in California where it would be safe to go right now. I’m in Oceanside as of now, which is about a 40 min drive from the Orange County area. I was thinking 29 palms out in the desert, please don’t be a Ahole about this, I’d like to keep my family safe, thank you.
When we all got news about the radiation spill in Japan they said the same things you all did, DON’T worry you’ll be ok. I’m sure you know about what your saying but if they are telling us now to be alert, that itself is the biggest clue that thru fine lines their saying be prepared for the worst.
So basically kiss our asses goodbye is what your all saying kindly.
Your odds are a million times greater that you’ll die in a car accident driving to 29 Palms, than any radiation threat from Japan. You get more radiation from taking a trip in an airplane. Even if there was a danger, which there is not, moving a few miles inland to the desert will do nothing. The cloud will disperse over a very large area that will be thousands of miles. It all has to do with where the wind is blowing. If the worse case happens and there is a total meltdown, due to prevailing winds, most of North America will be covered. If you are that worried, you need to go to Australia. How can people live so long and know so little?
“So basically kiss our asses goodbye is what your all saying kindly”
No. We are saying be rational, not hysterical. It’s all in your head. There is no threat to So Cal.
BTW if you are in Oceanside, you are about 20 miles from San Onofre, a nuclear plant built near an active earthquake fault. Good luck with that.
