Smart Personal Safe Home Security Tips To Keep You Safe When Traveling From Home

Safe Home Security is not only dedicated to providing you with safety tips for the protection of your home, family and valuables, but also when you are away from your home and going about your day-to-day activities: walking through your neighborhood, jogging or exercising, driving to work, shopping, etc. It is during these everyday activities that people often become victims of crime. The following tips will help you remain safe in your daily surroundings by increasing your level of personal physical security.  Integrate them into your daily routine now for added security and safety.

Tip #1: Always stay alert and aware of what’s going on around you. People tend to be creatures of habit, so take note of individuals or situations that appear out of the ordinary.

Tip #2: Always walk calmly, confidently and with a sense of purpose to create the impression and appearance of strength, not the perception of vulnerability.

Tip #3: Vary your habits daily so that you don’t run or walk at the exact same time or in the exact same routes every day.  This will oftentimes make you more susceptible to patterning, which robbers often use to plan a predictable crime against you.

Tip #4: Try to walk in well lighted streets and as far away from shrubs, alley ways, recessed doorways and other dark hiding places.

Tip #5: Always carry your wallet on an inside coat pocket or front trouser pocket. If you carry a purse, carry it in front of you with the opening facing your body.

Tip #6: Never flash your money or jewelry in public places.

Tip #7: If you work late, have a coworker or security personnel walk you to your car.

Tip #8: Always keep your key in your hand as you approach your house, home, apartment, or car door. Keys may be used as a weapon for purposes of self-defense.

Tip #9: When riding in public transportation, always sit as close to the driver as possible. Remain awake and alert at all times.

Tip #10: Always keep your car doors locked when you drive.

Tip #11: When stopping at a red light, always stop your car at a point where you can view the rear tires of the car in front of you clearly.  This assures that you have room to move your vehicle if someone tries to hijack your car or carjack you while you’re stopped.

Tip #12: Always park in very well lighted and well traveled areas.

Tip #13: Always have your keys ready when approaching your parked car or vehicle.  Look under your car as you approach it to make sure no one is hiding there.

Tip #14: Always perform a visual check of your car’s back seat before you get in. Once in your vehicle, lock your doors immediately.

Tip #15: Never keep your home address or anything in your car that would tempt burglars.  It is advisable to keep your garage door opener on your person rather than in your car when you’re parked at a public place.

Tip #16:  Never leave your vehicle running in your driveway or in a parking lot.

Tip #17: Always try to shop with other people rather than by yourself.  When shopping, always have at least one arm or hand free to help protect yourself.

Tip #18: Never take risks with strangers, including giving them a ride, allowing them to enter your home or allowing them to convince you to follow them somewhere for any reason.

Tip #19: Make sure you never leave your cell phone in the car when parking.  Always carry it with you as a safety feature so that you can call for help if necessary.

Safe Home Security Inc. suggests that you review this checklist and add as many of these tips to your own personal security habits as possible. Doing so will help protect you from the threat of robbery and rip-off when you’re out and away from your home.

Tips for Getting Your Boat Transported Safely

Boat transportation is an ever growing industry for people who need transportation for boats ranging from canoes to luxury yachts. Australia is a very busy place for boat transportation with dozens of companies specialized in boat transportation appearing in all big cities such as Sydney, Melbourne or Perth.

Of course, by far the best way of transporting a boat is by water, sailing from port to port, eliminating the risks of road accidents or traffic problems. But since there are many points out there that are not connected by water, the need for boat hauling appeared and became popular very fast. In this article we will go over some tips and warnings about not having problems during transporting your boat.

As for all types of transportation, choosing only the best team of professional haulers is a must. You must be careful about what company you pick since boats especially larger ones can be very expensive and you don’t want them damaged in any way during the transportation.

Transporting smaller boats is rather easy. You only need them loaded in a trailer and either tow them to their destination or hiring a pick-up truck to come and pick them away. For larger boats such as yachts, transportation becomes a real problem. Since yachts cannot be transported that easily and because of their huge values, yacht transportation has always been a sensitive thing to talk about if you don’t know what you’re doing. Since getting your yacht transported on the road can be very risky, accidents happening every single day, you need to find a company which provides the best drivers and equipment out there. Ask around for feedback and reviews and only after you’ve found more than a couple choices should you pick the one you find the best.

Another very delicate problem is insurance. You must talk to the shipping company about what type of accidents are covered by the insurance policy and also what documentation is needed. You may want to inform the company of any present damage to the boat before travelling. Also you should take pictures of the boat from all sides in order to use them as proof in case accidents appear.

Pre-transportation preparation is also vital in order to prevent most common accidents happening. You should remove all accessories such as antennas or any type of rigging. You should remove all personal or valuable items from the boat if you don’t want them getting damaged since most insurance policies don’t cover the damages of personal items. Also loose items should be fixed in place since the boat will move quite a bit during the transit. You should be careful about wrapping your boat since there have been cases where the wrap will get damaged because of the abrasion.

There are rare cases when you need a boat transferred on-land but in those cases, if you’ve chosen a reliable company and if you’re well prepared, all risks of damage should at a minimum.
