Cross the Gulfstream from Florida to Bahamas?
Hypothetically… If you started out from Florida (Pompano Beach) and started heading to Paradise Island (Atlantis Marina), stopping in Freeport to refuel (will i need to (vessel information below)), how would you cross the Gulf stream so it doesn’t knock you too much off course. I would like to stay well away from the 7 foot deep Bimini Shoal. The vessel is an Horizon 84′ Elegance. Will i have to go through customs at Paradise Island or at Freeport? There is also a 9mm pistol in the ships safe (biometric lock). When should I leave so I arrive midday at Atlantis. This is a first time trip for me.
