New York City gun laws?
I know little about them other than they are strict. I know you can legally own a pistol in the city but you have to have it in a safe or lock box. If you carry it in your car it has to be in a lock box in the trunk. (this is just one example of the convolution they call gun laws) What I was wondering is this: If any blackpower muzzloading firearm built on or before the year 1898 is not considered a “gun” by the legal definition of the ATF, would it be perfectly legal to walk through Time Square with a loaded 1851 Colt Navy strapped to you hip? I understand that what the Feds and the states call a gun can be two different things. Possibly, a gun is a gun as far as the new york government goes. What do you think?
