Who is responsible for getting the cleanup workers in the Gulf region the supplies they need?
This is unreal! I thought Obama said he was going to see to it that they had all the tools they needed to clean this stuff up. So…is it his responsibility or BPs responsibility to ensure supplies are well stocked so that there is no slow down in the clean up?
MOBILE, Ala. – As countless tar balls washed ashore on a beach along Alabama’s Gulf Coast, cleanup workers sat and watched because they didn’t have the proper plastic covers to protect their shoes. Elsewhere, a crew using shovels and garden rakes worked for hours on a long stretch of sand that a machine could have cleaned in minutes.
Almost two months after the Deepwater Horizon oil rig exploded in the Gulf of Mexico, shortages of government-required protective gear and cleaning equipment are slowing work to remove the sticky mess and keep beaches and marshes along the Gulf Coast safe and oil-free.

Looks like his experience in commie organizing ie agitating and buying votes doesn’t translate well when it comes to real world problems.
What to Bring for Hawaii Beach Vacations
Planning a vacation to a Hawaiian beach? Make yourself a packing list so you don’t forget anything important but you don’t have to get overly worried about forgetting something important. If you find you have forgotten toiletries or any other necessities once you arrive to your Hawaii destination, you can find a Walmart or drugstore near by and pick up whatever you need. It’s just that it is true what we hear about prices being higher in Hawaii then the rest of the United States, so it is better to come prepared if you are trying to keep to a budget.
Here are some suggestions for must have items to bring along on your Hawaii Beach vacation:
Bathing Suit – it’s a good idea to bring more than one bathing suit actually, since you’ll be spending so much time at the beach your suit may not have time to dry in between uses.
Lightweight clothing – t shirts, shorts. You’ll want to wear these to participate in island activities when you’re not on the beach. If staying in higher elevations, you may find the evenings get cool so also pack a pair of long pants and a sweatshirt for the possible cooler evenings.
SPF 30 or better sunblock. Hawaii is very close to the equator and the sun is more intense than anything you’ve experienced anywhere in the continental United States. Try to bring and wear sun visors, wide rimmed hats, sunglasses and full-body suits for young children to further protect the skin from the sun. A sunburn is an easy way to ruin the entire vacation, and you’re likely to spend a lot of time on the beach while you’re in Hawaii.
Sneakers, tennis shoes, or hiking boots for comfortable walking. Much of the sight seeing you will do will involve walking around. Don’t try to do this wearing uncomfortable shoes!
Water shoes, flip-flops or sandals for the beach.
Small plastic containers or resealable bags for bringing snacks to the beach and keeping your money safe from water.
Beach towels – most of the hotels in Hawaii do not provide them for you. Instead of bringing your own, this may be something you purchase while in Hawaii and then bring home as a souvenir.
Beach blanket – if you intend to do some lounging on the beach and prefer not to lay directly in the sand, pack a lightweight beach blanket.
Extra suitcase to carry home anything you purchase while staying in Hawaii.
Underwater camera – you don’t want to miss the potential for amazing underwater photos while swimming in Hawaii. If you don’t already own one, you can purchase a disposable underwater camera, a digital underwater camera, or a special waterproof case to turn your existing camera into a waterproof camera.
Reusable water bottle or coffee mug – you can either purchase this as a souvenir once you arrive, or bring one from home. You’ll want to bring drinks to the beach with you and having a reusable drink container makes this convenient.
