Should i continue to use my surge protector for my computer even though the grounded pin broke off?
The Grounded pin on my surge protector recently broke off. I was wondering if it would still be safe to use for my laptop or if i should get a new one. The indicator lights still say its protected but not grounded.
its perfectly fine, yes you should still use a surge protector. The ground pin just makes it a little bit safer to handle so yes i recommend getting another charger but its definitely not needed nor are you at much risk. The surge protector is a good idea because it stops the flow of current if it reaches too high and can damage your charger. The surge protector is just a backup and is not needed but recommended. Every should be fine though, half of the plugs dont have a grounding pin you should be perfectly fine
