Firearms for Sale and Single Women
Safety first always—that’s what my family lives by. With two younger sisters, one still in high school and the other in her mid twenties and recently single, I feel obliged to teach them how to protect themselves should they need to. They’re good looking young gals and I’ve seen how sleaze bags look at them. It makes me want to hire bodyguards. Dad and I agreed—no body guards, but we are going to teach them about shooting guns.
I took the older of the two girls out looking for firearms for sale. We needed to get her a gun since she was going to be living all by herself. She’s shot a gun before with me and dad, but she’s nowhere near where she should be in terms of comfort with firearms. I took her to some local gun stores—we have plenty of them here in Texas. She got to hold them and feel the weight. I had her stand in position so she could get a sense of how it would feel if she was about to shoot. We narrowed it down to the Ruger LCP because it is pretty light weight and the Sig Sauer P220R Compact 45ACP. Both are good guns I think she can handle. My sis is pretty much a diva, but she’s really smart, both academically and street wise.
What I didn’t like was the price for both guns. So we took our journey for firearms for sale online. I found a great site, grumpysguns.com that had both guns for great deals. After a little deliberation, we purchased her the Ruger LCP because it can fit in her purse. I went ahead and got her a gun cleaning kit. She should do it herself, but I told her I would do it for her until she found herself a new man.
She’s had the Ruger for a month now. Dad and I have taken her to the gun range several times now. And I have to admit, she’s pretty darn good. For barely knowing anything about guns, she sure is a good shot. I’m not gonna tell her, but she’s a better shot than me. She probably already figured it out.
One thing though—I had her take a gun safety class. It’s always best to be overly safe than not at all. Dad and I had the youngest sister go with her. We won’t buy her a gun quite yet, but she can still learn.
