My plane leaves when isolated thunderstorms are predicted?

So im leaving on thursday to go to florida (boynton beach) and from tuesday to thursday. Is it safe to fly into this kind of predicted weather? what should i do?

Go ahead and fly and have a great time.

All around the world, there are hundreds of thunderstorms occurring every day. Planes take off and land every day all around the world as well. Airlines and airports deal with storms all the time and know how to be safe.

If there is a thunderstorm active in the vicinity of the airport when your plane is supposed to take off, it will be held on the ground until that storm cell passes. Once it has gone, all of the delayed the planes will get in line to take off.

If there is a thunderstorm near the airport when your plane is getting close to it for landing, then your plane will go into a holding pattern for a while, away from the storm, to let it pass.

If there is a thunderstorm along the route that your plane is presently flying, then the pilot will change course enough to go around it.

So, the worst that happens is the your plane is somewhat delayed.
