What handgun safe to buy?
Anyone have these? What at are your thoughts about this Brand? Should i order directly from them or do they sell them at Target, Walmart. Can’t decide between mini , multi, micro, and what are the deluxe models? any thoughts or other brands worth considering?
You didnt tell us what brand you are looking at. I an going to assume its GunVault, since it sounds like thier models. Im not a fan, but they get the job done. Skip the one with the fingerprint scanner, i would not trust it to work reliably 100% of the time. Think about sweat, water, dirt, dust and god forbid blood all screwing with the scanner. The four button combo is pretty intuative, so yes it can be opened quickly. DOnt count on it to stop a burglar though, it can be defeated with a hammer and prybar in a couple minutes.
A true gun safe that can be bolted to the floor and has fire protection is the best choice. The cheapest best ones ive seen recently are at Lowe’s, for about $500. Centurion is the brand. Avoid Sentry, they are mostly for fire and offer very little security.
