Digital Locks – Best Security Locks
Digital locks or safe keys can provide effective security to your home. At one time, these types of locks were only reserved for airports as well as high security offices. But today, they are becoming more and more accessible to homes across the nation. You can also take advantage of the technology to provide effective security to your home.
Types of Digital Locks
You can choose from the few varieties of safe keys available; whichever one you decide to go with, you will still have better protection in comparison with the conventional locks. These high tech locks are not easily picked by criminals and unscrupulous individuals. Sometimes, these technological locks feature alarm that would alert you of a forceful opening of your door – this is another level of security or protection offered by these special locks. If you have a digital lock, the case of keys misplacement or being locked out of your home will no longer be experienced.
Different Options
A number of people prefer to use the conventional key technique to unlock doors. There are digital lock options that can allow the use of key and/or digital pin number entry at the same time. So, if you need both options, or just the digital entry, it is feasible. Of course, in a home where there are a good number of people, some would prefer the digital method while others may insist on using the conventional key technique; the good news is that you can use either methods separately and some of the digital locks are configured to use both entry techniques before the door can be unlocked.
Another secure option is the keypad locks. A number of people love to have their keypad locks customized with built-in audible alarm, which activates when forceful unlocking takes place. These types use a code or pin numbers to unlock, or disable or alarm the door. You can choose to customize the number combination of the lock with 2 to 7 numbers. Also, the lock can be configured to use different combination for different persons.
The digital card readers are another set of safe keys that offer better security. These ones enable users to hold a credit-sized key in smaller bags, purses or wallets; quite similar to hotel room keys. Using these special keys, it is not needful for users to remember the code or pin numbers, and there would be no need to carry conventional keys around. The locks achieve impassable barrier that locks itself automatically upon entry or exit.
A good number of safe keys would require professional skills for their installation; however, if you are the technologically inclined type, you can achieve the installation on your own. The most important thing is having safe locks that would provide better security to your home than the traditional keys.
There are great places on the internet such as safespares.co.uk to source for safe keys, secure products for safes, as well as secure storage products, and you can request for customization of your choice product or have it created for you if it is not available.
