Is it safe to purchase a hand gun from a pawn shop?
I guess what I am asking is are these weapons checked before they are sold to the public to make sure that they are clean and have not been used in any type of incident? Like are they safe to buy, or could you be possibly purchasing a “dirty” weapon?
When you buy from a Pawn Shop, you really need to know what too look for in the gun you want. Really check the barrel, field strip if it is allowed (if not, walk away) to see what you are buying. After that, if you feel comfortable with no warrantee, buy the gun. I like brokers (even though they are way more expensive) because you can more or less trust them. It is easy to find reccommendation for a good broker, but not a pawn shop. Brokers will also stand behind their guns typically if problems arise, the pawn shop is “buy as is”. Anytime you purchase a gun, there is alot of money involved, be extremely cautious that you dont attempt to go cheap and really pay more in the future. it is better to buy one gun at an expensive price then to buy a gun, find out its not what you wanted, sell it for 1/2 of what you paid, then have to go out a buy what you really want.
Im not saying that you cannot buy from pawn shop, just be very cautious, do your homework first, and really look at the gun before purchase (every inch)
