where is the cheapest and safest place to buy RAM with shipping to Canada?
I need to buy sodim pc2700 1GB laptop ram. i went to a local retailer and they priced it at 100$ canadian for each 1GB ram stick. i cant pay 200$ cad + tax for laptop upgrade on a machine thats worth 600$. i found a website that sells it for 54.99 each – newegg, but they don’t ship to Canada. WHy is everything is this damn country soo expensive!!!!

Don’t blame EGGHEAD. They mean well and are a great firm but the customs and shipping regulations between US and Canada SUCKS.
I ordered a $20 fishing lure from the US. It came UPS who charged $23.00 fir shipping. Of course I refused it at the door and the poor guy that I bought the lure from had to pay it as well as NOT making a sale either.
So Egghead and many many other just gave quit sending stuff to Canada. FedEx is another shipper that charges big bucks for even a one ounce package.
Someone suggested that Fed Ex and UPS amalgamate and call their new compay FED UP !
When you order from Tiger, ask that the item be sent “regular mail”. That will be the least expensive for you.
