What are some of the safer and quiet cities around San Francisco that single gals can live in? (not affected by the fault line, that is…) I’ve only heard of Walnut Creek or Lafayette.
In the city, Pacific Heights is a nice neighborhood.
Outside the city, depending on how for out….

Open Technique and Closed Technique in Rhinoplasty

Open Technique
Rhinoplasty surgery can be performed using two different techniques. Which technique used depends on the type of surgery you are electing to have. It also depends on the physicians preferred method to obtain your desired results.
Open technique requires a small incision in the columella. This is the section of skin located between your nostrils. Once the incision is made, the skin is lifted away from the tip of the nose to expose the underlying bone and cartilage. Depending on your particular procedure, your cosmetic surgeon will make adjustments to either or both of these places.
In open technique, lifting the skin from the top of the nose allows the surgeon a clearer view of the surgery area. In some cases, while performing surgery on the cartilage in the tip of the nose, your surgeon may elect this method because it affords him/her the ability to gain easier access to the cartilage of your nasal tip.
The small scar resulting from open technique surgery is underneath your nose and virtually unnoticeable.
Closed Technique
Closed technique is performed completely within the structure of the nose. Many times, when the surgery is fairly straight-forward without any complicated re-structuring required, your surgeon will be able to perform your surgery using this method.
Ideal factors for closed technique may include:
· A nose that is not overly crooked or misshapen
· A nose that is overall very symmetric to the face
· No humps or malformations that require complicated surgery to correct
Procedures performed with this style of surgery do not leave visible scarring. As with the open technique, the deciding factors that will determine which method your surgeon uses depends on his/her particular preference and what the desired goal of the surgery is.
